Ice Cream

Harvey loved ice cream - especially Frozen Paddle. The shop is located on our downtown walking route and Harvey knew that. The shop is only open 8 months of the year and he knew when it was open. He would drag me to the door and look inside and then back at me asking for some wonderful vanilla ice cream. The staff of the shop knew him and were always quick
with a pup cup for my boy. He'd close his eyes and slowly lick away at the scoop of ice cream. Given his love for it I expected he would gobble it up, but he knew he had to make it last.
The look of complete satisfaction that came over his face when he began to taste the treat was too much. Complete bliss.

We didn't go every day. He would have balooned in size if we did. I had to vary our walking route to bypass the shop if he had had it a couple of times that week.

This was one of my favorite things to do with Harvey because it gave him so much enjoyment. I haven't been downtown much since Harvey passed. The memories are still too raw. But I did want to thank the staff at Frozen Paddle for being so good to my boy. I wrote out one of the harvey photo cards to them and dropped it off last week, I didn't stick around when I dropped it off - I wanted them to read it when I was gone.

A week later I was out with some friends and someone came up and said how sorry they were to hear about Harvey's passing. They had learned about it from an IG post the staff at Frozen Paddle had done about him just a few days earlier.

I didn't expect this. 6 months after his passing and I am still overwhelmed by the out pouring of love I am receiving. Then I read the comments and love that Frozen Paddle's customers wished for Harvey.

Just one more story of love for my street dog from Kuwait and the love he attraceted.

I'm not done telling your story yet my boy!!
