Harvey and his birds

 With the covered front deck on the house, and the large front window, birds sometimes fly into the window and become stunned. I'd hear them thump into the window and go ourside to check on them. This first photo is how I usually find them. Sitting on Harvey's bed besinde him and him giving the birds space. 

He was off of his bed once and when i picked up the bird to check on it, he wanted to see it up close. 

Another time one bird was particularly stunned so I brought it inside for some water. Harvey followed us into the house and he stayed right by my side while the bird recovered. He always followed me outside when I was going to release them. He watched them fly away and looked at me as if I had sent away his new friend. 

He we so incredibly gentle with animals.
